AFP MA Events

AFP Massachusetts offers a wide range of events where you can learn, share best practices, gather evidence-based information, and build your professional network. From our intensive Fundamentals courses to the annual conference on philanthropy, you’ll find everything you need in a wide variety of programming to keep on top of trends and build important fundraising skills. Programs are presented by experienced, knowledgeable professionals in the field who strive to provide up-to-date, informative and useful content that you can use immediately in your job.

Chapter Program Highlights:

Annual Conference: Fundraising Day in Boston is one of the largest annual fundraising conferences in New England with over 600 attendees from the field of development. This is a full day experience featuring more than 30 sessions plus keynotes and networking opportunities.

Fundraising Fundamentals: Two days of intensive fundraising training for individuals new to the field. Fundraising Fundamentals stands out from other courses in that it offers an affordable price; a proven 25-year curriculum; and a faculty of senior practitioners in the field. Opportunities for students to network with one another and with senior professionals in the field are also provided.

Emerging Leaders Training: Leadership training for mid-career professionals.

Meet the Funders: A popular program that features a local corporate/foundation funder who will give updates about their organization's funding priorities, application process, and answers questions from attendees.

Member Networking Events: Annual events that provide an opportunity for members to share an evening of networking with peers and often includes a speaker presentation on a topic of interest.

Massachusetts Gives Awards Celebration: Annual event that honors Massachusetts philanthropists and development professionals and celebrates the impact of philanthropy in our community.
